The national mobilisation that started on 28 April 2021

thousands of people took to the streets and fields of Colombia to protest against the reforms being pushed through Congress by then President Iván Duque and his extreme right-wing pro-Uribe government. The government's response to the people's indignation resulted in people being killed, disappeared, prosecuted and persecuted for having participated in the large demonstrations of the National Strike.

The tax reform, as well as other changes that the government of Iván Duque intended to impose, failed due to the protests that took place in the Colombian streets and countryside.

83 homicides during the protests, 44 allegedly committed by the security forces.

La movilización nacional que inició el 28 de abril de 2021

miles de personas salieron a las calles y campos colombianos para protestar contra las reformas que impulsaba en el Congreso el entonces Presidente Iván Duque y su gobierno uribista de extrema derecha. La respuesta de ese Gobierno a la indignación de las personas dio como resultado personas asesinadas, desaparecidas, judicializadas y perseguidas por haber participado en las grandes manifestaciones del Paro Nacional.

La reforma tributaria, así como otros cambios que pretendía imponer el gobierno de Iván Duque, fracasaron debido a las protestas ocurridas en las calles y campos colombianos.
